Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington. She began her acting career as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and made her debut as Flora McGrath when she played her role of Flora McGrath in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 for Best Actress Supporting Actress. The actress was chosen to play Flora McGrath the daughter of a muffled Scottish pianist who, in the middle of 19th century, moves into New Zealand for an arranged marriage when she responded to an open audition call at the age of nine. She was old. She had little previous acting experience. When she was a teenager her family left Canada to the United States. Paquin began her career as a child with a part as the Jane Eyre protagonist in the Franco Zeffirelli novel Jane Eyre followed by an important role in Fly Away Home. She portrayed teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) as well as A Walk on the Moon (2000). The actress played the role of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
