Lee
Lee Roy Selmon has a background that is a combination of family scholarships football and community service. His family's first name is he's the youngest out of the nine children raised in Eufala by Lucious Selmon. Two soccer. He is among three brothers who participated in the football team of Oklahoma. All three became All-America. Lucious Jr. Dewey, Lee Roy, and Lucious Jr. Dewey started the 1973 season. Lee Roy has won both the Outland Award as well as the Lombardi award as the top lineman in America. In his three years as an offensive lineman, Oklahoma was 32-1-1 and also won two championships at the national level. Selmon was given a second scholarship in 1975, and was named as a National Football Foundation Student-Athlete. Selmon received a degree in education. Lee Roy's fourth service was ten-hours per week of volunteer time in the college. Following college, he relocated into Tampa and played for nine years for the Buccaneers. He made the All-Pro three times. After that, he began his professional career. The first position he held was an Account Relation Officer at First Florida Bank, Tampa. He has worked in the past for Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. It's no wonder In 1982, the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy as one of America's top 10 young men. Lee Roy stood 6-2 in the height department and weighed 256 lbs when he was a student athlete. He was captain of the team in 1975. He was hired by the University of South Florida in 1993, as Associate Director of Sports. The College Football Hall of Fame was named for him in 1988. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame, in 1995. In 1989, the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation presented the Distinguished American Award Mr. Lucious Jr. Henry Bellmon, the governor of Oklahoma awarded it.
